Bryant McBride, Burst’s CEO, describes the importance of finding a signal, trusting, and acting decisively in response as his approach to guiding startups. He defines “signal” as:

“the air that allows a startup to breathe, grow and flourish. It’s the guiding light that makes it plain to an entrepreneur where he or she needs to go and how to get there. Successfully finding and using signal is the difference between the 10 percent of startups that succeed and the 90 percent that fail.”

It is at the point of failure and defeat that it is of utmost importance to recognize what is yet to come and anticipate for the future to then succeed and surpass the competition.
